This elevated pull-off point provides a fine view down the North Saskatchewan valley, which is a big U shaped canyon sandwished between Cirrus mountain on the left and the northeast ramparts of Mount Saskatchewan on the right. The North Saskatchewan river originates from lake Winnepeg in the Prairies which is about 1200 km east. From here to the Columbia icefield centre is only about 15 km away, one of the main stop along the icefield parkaway for tourist visits.
